Introduced in 1988 with some still in service today, these 4,000-horspower Dash Eight units as they were known, began their long careers in fast freight service. PLEASE NOTE: When operating Walthers-brand locomotives in DC mode, do not use power packs that exceed an 18V rating. This includes MRC 1300-series power packs which have known issues with our decoders.
