TDSHP2.0 The new 8 ohm Full Dynamic Range Speakers from TDS

The TDS HP 2” is a High Performance, 8 ohm, Full Dynamic Range speaker.  This is an uncommon and high quality speaker in the world of model trains.

A higher dynamic range gives you more depth and clarity of sound, whereas a lower dynamic range means your volume dynamics are more compressed and may sound 'flat'. This speaker give you a high level of contrast, nuance, and detail, provided such sounds are included in a manufacturer given sound file.

HOWEVER, no matter how fantastic a speaker is, IF it doesn’t have a sound-tight enclosure around it, it will sound mediocre. 

An enclosure isolates the sound exiting the front of the speaker from the sound leaving the back of the speaker.  When these two sounds coming off of a speaker mix they ruin the overall quality of the sound.

We do not sell an enclosure for this speaker, and leave it up to the modeler to create their own.

Many people use cut down pill bottles or caps to various products.
