Save Mini Panel Settings with JMRI Decoder Pro
If you have JMRI, you can save the Mini Panel data to JMRI with the NCE USB adapter. Here is what you do:
1) Setup a new loco in JMRI with a name like NCE Mini Panel.
2) Under decoder choose NMRA, and then Raw CVs 1-255
3) Set JMRI to "Direct Byte Mode"
4) Under the CVs Tab hit "read" for CV #1
5) If it fails the first time repeat as necessary.
6) Read all CVs.
Now you have a backup of the mini panel. If you ever want to restore it, just write the CVs back to the Mini Panel.
