We have another fine sample of a recent Bowser release, the Baldwin S-12. The prototype was one of Baldwin's most successful models; 451 units were produced from 1951 to 1956. Nearly 40 railroads received units from the original production run, and several are still in service today.

Bowser's model is well rendered with excellent plastic shell molding and paint application. The mechanism is smooth and robust and purrs right along with an ESU LokSound Select 21 pin decoder. The LokSound decoder is coupled to a pair of TDS Mini SuperSonic speakers providing a rich, warm sound quality. A TCS 1622 Motherboard with KeepAlive keeps the short wheelbase switcher moving over poor track conditions.
