The LokSound 58921 is the latest sound decoder from ESU [Summer 2021] incorporating a completely new decoder and a new motherboard with integrated PowerPack stay-alive capacitors.

The LokSound 58921 Direct decoder consists of two components; a 58923 Nano decoder [with an E24 connector interface] mounted on a motherboard. Locomotive wiring connections are soldered to the pads located on the motherboard. We suggest using the 58921 in a range of HO scale locomotives by replacing the model's lighting circuit board or decoder.

We expect the 58921 to become the de facto standard decoder for most HO scale installations. So far in the installations we've used the 58921, results have been excellent, with up to seven seconds of stay alive capacitance provided.
