Florida East Coast (FEC) Railroad engineer Dave Shelly comments on the Quantum Revolutions' performance. Dave has been an engineer for FEC for 37+ yrs. Here is what he has to say:

Att- QSI

Dear sirs,

I had the opportunity to see, and listen to an HO scale model of a GP-40-2 FEC locomotive yesterday (6-10-2009) that Mr. Lee Wheelbarger brought over to my home. As an train engineer for FEC for over 37 years now, I have to say that was the most realistic sounding model I've ever heard. From the distinctive sounding horn and bell to the idling or sped up 645 engine, that engine sound made me think I was actually sitting in the cab.

QSI Solutions recorded not only the horns and bells of different FEC locos but has captured on audio, the numerous, individual sounds of our locomotives, whether GP-40s, SD-40s or the newer SD-70Ms including the subtleties of all the many engine sounds. QSI Solutions captured these different locomotives in digital audio which I can verify that the sounds are original recordings. I have heard similiar models at shows and from other individuals that had other roads and locomotives that often sounded a little unrealistic, but for FEC, these are exact, even down to engine making transition, as in our SD-40s.

Yours Truly,
David M. Shelley (ECH)
