Just wanted to share some tech with you all.

These are very recent shots just taken under a track lighting system that I installed with new daylight 5000K (advertised, but I don’t think effectively) LED bulbs by Ecosmart. They’re dimmable, too. Every inch of the 16 x 8 room is lit clearly, consuming 96 Watts, and it’s a little too bright. Great for working in, but not for playing. I’ll be putting in a dimmer next week.

The room picture was taken digital automatic, no flash. The picture doesn’t illustrate how well lit the room really is. The other shots I manually setup.

The colors are so vivid everywhere in the room. Detail just jumps out. I’m already finding my tools faster, and getting things done more efficiently - finding detail I didn’t see before and need to improve. I can actually see pretty good under the benches. Found a couple of small screws that I lost last week and couldn’t find.

I have never seen LED bulbs so well color balanced.

They are pricey, but they do have a 5 year warranty and 22.8 years life (advertised). They come in a 40 and 60 Watt equivalent spot and a 75 Watt equivalent flood reflector. Got mine at Home Depot. Have not seen on Ebay or Amazon yet.

Incredible technology.
