The BlueLine Advantage
Today’s model train customer is more price-sensitive than ever. The BlueLine is designed specifically with this fact in mind. A BlueLine HO scale SD40-2 diesel locomotive with DC sound will have an MSRP of $169.99, a savings of nearly 33% over the same prototype in the BLI Paragon Series. Likewise, a BlueLine HO scale steam locomotive will have an average MSRP of $250.

BlueLine MSRP’s are lower because: We have negotiated lower prices from our factories overseas. We have streamlined detail (without use of molded on detail) and omitted some features like fire-box glow and lighted number boards to further drive down costs. We build to order to reduce inventory carrying costs. And finally, we employ our recently developed proprietary sound and operating system. It is fabulous. As the pioneers in HO scale sound, we know a thing or two about great sound.

BlueLine locomotives are DC sound and operation equipped right out-of-the-box. DCC customers can easily plug in their favorite DCC decoder into the included plug ‘n’ play socket to control both sound and operation with any NMRA compliant DCC system. Operation is extremely smooth and powerful.

The first BlueLine locomotive is the SD40-2 in HO Scale. Expected delivery is April 2007. We will convey specific item numbers, descriptions and order deadlines shortly. BlueLine items will be built-to-order and therefore selection will be very limited after the order deadline.

BLI Paragon and PCM lines will still continue as premium end product lines with full DC/DCC sound as well as the most intricate detail and all of the latest “bells and whistles.”

The BlueLine EMD SD40-2 Low Hood in HO is expected in April 2007.
