Full Range of MRC Sound Decoders In Stock!
Model Rectifier Corporation (MRC), a staple in the hobby industry for more
than 50 years, has been aggressively
releasing a series of onboard sound decoders for both N and HO scale:
- EMD modern large locomotives (HO, pn. 0001632) in a convenient 8 pin plug
and play style,
- EMD modern switchers (HO, pn. 0001633),
- EMD modern large locomotives (HO, pn. 0001634) in a board replacement
style decoder for many Atlas, Athearn, and several Kato locos,
- Generic diesel board replacement style decoder for larger N scale locos
(pn. 0001636),
- Generic steam decoder (N, pn. 0001637) for use in larger N scale steam
tenders,
- A mini EMD diesel decoder for use in many HO applications and possible
usage in N scale dummy units (pn. 0001638),
- A mini generic steam which would fit in almost any HO loco you could find
or possibly certain N scale tenders (pn 0001639).
They also still offer the original Sheer Brilliance line (pn. 0001630 and
0001631 steam and diesel respectively). With the development and release of all these new units MRC seems to have
seriously put themselves on the DCC sound map!
All the decoders feature a number of user selectable options from different
steam chuffs and prime mover sounds to different chimes on the diesel horns
and selectable bells.
Also they support 2 or 4 digit addressing and 14, 28, or 128 speed steps. |
