Athearn Genesis SD45 Start-up Procedure

Athearn Genesis has released their latest offering, the SD45 with DCC sound.

At first blush a fine looking model, further review with pictures will be following. However, we felt that we needed to let folks know that in the manufacturers' never-ending effort to make EVERY decoder operate differently, this decoder requires 2 taps on any function button other than "0" for it respond to any commands. Not a bad feature as it supposedly limits the power drawn from the system until you are ready to use the engine, it seems as though soon we will need crib notes to keep track of the operating procedure for every locomotive on the layout.
