New Product Update
Gold Maxi Decoder
Parts delays have been solved and it is currently in
production. Delivery expected early July in time for the NMRA
National Convention. For Large Scale outdoor
users this is a must have product as there simply is nothing like it
the market.
Outdoor operation with DCC has always been a challenge because of
dirty track. This is now a thing of the past! Our Gold series Maxi
decoder ushers in a whole new world or operations potential for O
scale and Large Scale users. The Gold Maxi can be connected to a
battery pack or a Power-3 module (to be delivered in the fall) to
ensure smooth operation and nearly 100% packet reception in all track
conditions.
We are pleased to introduce our long awaited Gold Maxi decoder.
Features include
- Precision silent back emf control that can be tailored to the

- USB - screw terminal connections to an external power module
provides the ability to detect the DCC signal even on dirty
track. We will provide a "Power -3" module later in the Fall and
also provide instructions for optional user installed battery backup.
- 8 function outputs with special lighting effects
- RailCom support for both address and data transmission. (our
implementation of NMRA Bi directional)
- 3 Amp continuous load without heat sync (optional heat sync can
be installed for greater current capacity)
- Short and overload protected so can handle a hard stall of over 10
Amps!
- SUSI sound interface for plug in sound or function module.
- Read control input for optional automatic stopping.
- All the advanced NMRA DCC features you have come to expect in
our Gold Series decoders.
Other Product info:
This spring has been particularly difficult for us as demand has
increased (which is good), products had to be redesigned for RoHS
compliancy and parts availability changed unexpectedly (mainly also
due to RoHS related issues). This has led to a series of short term
shortages and some long term shortages. We apologize for the
shortage of some of our key products and hope that we can return to
our goal of all core products being in stock at all times very quickly.
Following is a status of product availability of existing product
followed by expected delivery of new products.

We are pleased to announce that production has finally been completed
and we expect delivery in Boston this week!
Note: Due to parts and production cost increases the MSRP of the XPA
is now $62.95.
