Summer Tsunami

Soundtraxx's announcement last fall about the development of the "Tsunami" advanced product line, incorporating the features we all have dreamed of, was well received and anticipated by the community of DSD users.

Unfortunately the technical development process is taking much longer than Soundtraxx had predicted and the ETA has become a moving target. Understandably users and dealers alike have become frustrated.

I remember the 18 month development process that preceded the first DSD, the Soundtraxx DSD150 and how it seemed to take forever and the many phone calls back and forth. However, I remember most, when the early prototypes arrived and we tested them and how good they sounded! The long wait seemed no longer important!

I am predicting the case will be the same for the Tsunami. Soundtraxx produces a quality product and will continue to hold themselves to the standards we expect, even if we feel it takes too long.

Soundtraxx has not yet committed to a release date more specific than "this Summer". I am betting mid July for a debut at the NMRA National Train Show in Seattle. This always seems to motivate manufactures!
