News from NMRA National Show

DIGITRAX

A PalmPilot interface is coming soon that will enable the user to operate a PalmPilot as a DCC throttle.

A new version of the 3 A, DG380 decoder will plug into some new Aristo locomotives.

LENZ

Unveiled "Rail.com" bi-directional communication for DCC. This will allow Rail.com equipped decoders to communicate with the DCC command station for position reporting and other status indicators like scale mph and load.

First implementation is a stationary module that when connected to an isolated block will display loco address. Expected release is in October 2001. Rail.com is compatible with all DCC systems.

The new 128ss LE130 1 A load compensated decoder will be shipping in about a month and will be the first Lenz decoder with Rail.com.

SOUNDTRAXX

A new PnP DSD100LC is now shipping for the Heritage 0-8-0 which features the Tony's oval speaker. Pricing is the same as the Bachmann HO Shay unit.

SURROUNDTRAXX !

A joint venture between Soundtraxx and Digitrax that is a stationary surround sound system that will follow a loco equipped with Digitrax transponding around the layout. 8 channels are planned for a spring 2002 release.
