New Soundtraxx PnPs.
Soundtraxx unveiled two new DSD100 PnP sound decoders
at the Big E show in Springfield, MA this past weekend.
While there we met with Nancy and Larry and they
presented the Bach Spec HO Shay, the LLP2K GP 7, 9 30 & SD60
PnP sound units. We quickly installed both units and were up and
running in the respective locos.
As we have come to expect from Soundtraxx, both
units installed easily and worked great. The Shay unit plugs into
the DCC NMRA receptacle in the tender with the speaker mounted in
the Tony's 3/4" SpeakEZ in the bunker. We ran this loco for
about 18 hours without a hitch.
The LLP2K unit mounts on the top of the frame
and plugs into the NMRA socket bd like the Tony's GP7 decoder. We
used a GP30 because it will accept a Tony's 1.1 speaker and speaker
assembly. This unit also ran for 18 hours.
Here is some preliminary info on these two new
Soundtraxx PnP's:
