DCC Delays Explained!

October should be a good month for DCC users if the major manufacturers release as projected!

Digitrax

The reason you have been waiting for DH121 and DZ121 decoders is a parts shortage of some key components. This should be resolved in several weeks. No explanation for UR-90 delays. Although the DH140U, a new, high performance, load compensated decoder recently announced can be produced now,it is waiting for documentation. Expect in Nov.

Lenz

The long awaited, economical, Starter Set 02 with advanced features
comparable to North Coast and Digitrax advanced systems is slated to be shipping at the end of the month. Current users can upgrade their systems by adding the LH200 advanced throttle and upgrading software for the command station. The LV 200, 10 Amp Power Station is available now, $280.00 List $224.00 Tony's.

NCE Corp: (NCE Corporation)

The 3 Month fast for hundreds of expectant PH PRO recipients is about to
end. Critical components for the new, "Super Pro Cab" have been shipped to NCE which expects to be shipping truck loads of systems in about a week. NCE has been stockpiling all other PH Pro components to expedite System deliveries. The advanced version of the Intermediate Cab04 will also make its debut. Designated Cab04E, this unit will feature encoder speed control, dual locomotive operation, ops mode programming and more.

Soundtraxx

The Special plug n play DSD for the Bachman Spectrum Steam, 2-8-0 & 4-8-2 locos, promised last may ,is the next major Soundtraxx release. Apparently, Soundtraxx is now comfortable with all the design specs. The P n P design will plug into the loco's DCC receptical, have board mounted speaker and be significantly lower priced than current DSD units. The unit should be able to be installed by the average modeler and in my opinion will open the sound door for many new users. Soundtraxx has not given this product a designation yet so I call it DSD Bach.

System One

The DH155 and DH104 decoders will now have special animation function
outputs.

Zimo

The introduction of new equipment has halted production for a while. There has been no stock or production on decoders. Zimo expects to resume production of decoders soon and should have back log liquidated in several weeks.
