This
new Lenz decoder represents the highest performance, low priced
format available to DCC users to date and is a further example of
the continuing benefits of the DCC revolution.
Lenz
GmbH is pleased to announce the release of its newest advanced decoder
the LE105XF four-function-output 1.2 amp continuous output locomotive
decoder for $29.95 MSRP (US). This decoder is currently in distribution
channels and sufficient quantities have been produced to meet expected
demand. We expect this product to be on hobby shop shelves around
the world by early next week.
The
LE105XF has the same ultra thin (.13 inch) footprint as our popular
LE103XF decoder and is based on the same core processor that has
already been awarded an NMRA conformance warrant. And like our other
decoders the LE105XF sports the industry's best goof proof warranty.
(We all make a mistake in installation once in awhile.)
Our
XF line of decoders have been designed to provide true compatibility
across the entire DCC industry. This has been accomplished by providing
a rich set of capabilities specially designed and tested to provide
native capabilities found in popular systems on the market. Features
include 128 speed steps, all forms of programming including both
long and short form operations mode programming, advanced consist
control, speed tables which work with all speed steps, excellent
operation on DC layouts, and superior precision glide motor control.
What's
new is that the new LE105XF sports four function outputs and additional
special lighting effects. The LE105XF is also designed to have superior
performance for high stall current motors such Buehler motors and
the motors that are used in the Lifelike PA.
The
first two function outputs on the new LE105XF are identical to the
LE103XF. These function outputs allow the user to configure the
decoder for directional lighting, independent lighting, and selectable
headlight dimming.
The
two new function outputs can be configured with two new special
effects, blinking (with a user selectable rate) and ditch light
control (the ability to turn on both ditch lights or alternately
blink both ditch lights).
Also
new is the ability for the user to select which user functions (F1-F8)
are used to control each of these two new function outputs. These
new function outputs can be combined with the existing lighting
functions to achieve many other popular lighting effects
