Now Over 40 Sound Files and more Performance Features for Quantum "G/O" Scale Sound and Power Modules!

Here is an edited copy of their announcement.

The initial production run of the Quantum Aristo and Magnum digital sound decoders sold out and the next production run is in stock. All current back orders are shipping and plenty of stock will be available for the future.

We are very pleased that the Quantum G/O scale decoders have been so well received. Reviews and comments have been very favorable and the unit's performance has met our design goals of providing quality sound and motor control for DC, DCC, and wireless/ battery operations at affordable pricing.

Thanks to the valuable input of so many of the initial run users we have a new production version of the software installed in the units that are now shipping. We have posted the updated original release sound files and many more that we promised.

Summary of the sound files and features added

1) Over 40 sound files are now in stock with hundreds more planned. Some specific diesel files now support dual prime mover ops.

2) Sound file IDs or P/Ns are identified by a 2 part 7 digit number. The first four digits are the type #, (Diesel 1008, Steam 3010, etc), and the remaining 3 digits are the sound set #s. For example, a G scale F7 is 1008-291.

2) All these sound files and all future releases fully support the cut and paste options.

3) New software for the G scale Quantum Programmer, available online, fully supports the cut and paste options. All the cut and paste built files for the horns/whistles, motor sounds/chuffs, turbos, bells, pumps, dynamic brakes and more reside in the new Quantum Programmer Q2 Upgrade user-friendly software.

4) CVs have been re-configured to provide smooth operating in the 1-5 scale mph range. Programming CV 56.5=3 range (1-31), and CV2=30 range (0-255) is a good place to start.

5) We have organized the "G/O" products to give users and dealers more flexibility for ordering and stocking. The products are:

• Magnum Universal G/O Sound/Power Module: $179.95 MSRP
• GWire Wireless Receiver, $119.95 MSRP
• Magnum Adaptor Board, converts an Aristo PnP Bd to the universal format: $20.00 MSRP
• Aristo Steam Cable Kit, includes speaker cable, reed switch and chuff cables.
• Aristo Diesel Cable Kit, includes speaker cable and reed switch cable.
• Magnum Steam Cable Kit, includes: speaker cable, reed switch and chuff cables.
• Magnum Diesel Cable Kit, includes: speaker cable and reed switch cable.

This will permit the users or dealers to have several units on hand, some Aristo Boards, Magnum Adaptors and the various cables, to create any sound unit needed!

As specified in the initial release documentation, initial users are entitled to a free upgrade. We will notify affected users. For those of you that have the Quantum Programmer you will now able to download and install the updates.
